Birthday: April 19

History:

Brandon was born and raised in Andrews, NC along with his sister, Christy.  They have two incredibly strong Christian parents which have been a huge blessing in their lives.  Even though Brandon had a sister, he played mostly by himself growing up since she was older than him.  He received Christ at a pretty young age, and even though he believes it was a genuine salvation, most of his spiritual growth occured in college.  Brandon graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in civil engineering which he used to get a job at his father's fish farm.

Strategy:

Brandon lived in Kibera, Kenya for nine months with and organization called Adventures In Missions (AIMS) (www.adventures.org). There was a team of twelve students with Brandon.  Kibera is one of the largest slums in all of Africa so their mission was very broad. Twenty hours out of the week they worked at an orphanage, an after school program, a youth group and a few other places.  Most of their time was spent ministering to the people in the slums around them.  There are so many people in such a small area that they had tons of opportunites to build relationships with many of them.
